Shannon and Michael Edler, both teachers at Warren Township High School, to lead us in the session. In Summer of 2025, Shannon and Mike attended the Intensive Summer Institute at Boise State University in Idaho, and they are following up on their work at BSU during this school year. Here is a description of this Saturday's session:

Knowledge is Currency:  Being Smart Rules

At a time when “AI” can do the thinking for us, helping students find value in reading and writing critically may be the biggest challenge for any teacher. Still, it is collectively understood that these skills offer students a gateway to success in any academic setting. This session will explore how we can engage a digital generation to write about what they read and empower them to trust their own intellect as a means to gain power.
